英國大學男教授性騷擾女學生？

英國大學內部的性騷擾的嚴重度，The Guardian 報紙報導說跟天主教的性醜聞，以及 Jimmy Savile (英國一個很著名的性醜聞案件）可以相提並論。
更誇張的是，這一次的調查顯示出英國大學加害者往往是德高望重的男學者，而受害者往往是大學部的女學生、研究所的女學生，或是女研究員。報導也指出除了比較常見的男對女的性騷擾之外，也有男對男，或女對男的性騷擾案件。但是學校往往不聞不問。

lad culture: refers to a culture that is boisterous and macho, usually refers to men who are interested in sexual conquest and would boast about their sexual conqeust
march off the university premises: 'to march off' has a military tone to it, usually refers to a prisoner being marched off by guards
to be brushed off: to not be taken seriously
to remain in post: to keep their job positions
to be ostracised: to be cast out from a society, this can refer to being ostracised physically (a member of a society is physically cast out) or ostracised socially (other members don't take this member seriously)
induction week: first week of university, freshers' week
to rectify any failings: to make things right
