When I was little, I was shy and afraid of speaking in front of many people. However, when I was in high school, I participated in the Model United Nations Club. By participating in debate contests, I started to train myself in speaking in public. In the end, I decided to study politics in university. This is an example which describes how one of my personal traits has changed.
I agree that children should be required to learn practical skills. First, children can contribute to their families by cooking and cleaning the house. Therefore, it is good for children to learn practical skills. Second, it is necessary for children to learn practical skills. For example, by learning about personal finance, children will have a better sense of money and learn how to control their budget. sThat’s the reason why I agree with the statement. The university is going to make some changes to the campus guided tour. The woman in the conversation supports the university’s policy. First, as staff members are too busy, it is better for freshmen to be guided by senior students. For example, staff members are busy answering phone calls, doing interviews and dealing with administrative affairs. Second, senior students can provide freshmen with more information. For example, senior students can answer some practical questions, such as which cafeterias are recommended or which dorm rooms are quiet. That’s the reason why the woman in the conversation supports the university’s policy. The professor uses an example to illustrate the concept of irrational commitment. Take the professor as an example. When he was young, he wanted to buy a house. However, his wife had doubts on the house as the house was too old and needed to be repaired. The professor decided to buy the house. Later on, they discovered that the house had a roof problem and an electronic problem. At this point, the professor became more determined than ever. In the end, they spent extra money repairing the house. That is the example provided by the professor to illustrate the concept of irrational commitment. The woman in the conversation is in a dilemma. She spilled some soup on her paper. Therefore, she has to decide whether she should hand the sticky and wrinkled paper to her professor or she should go to the computer center to print another copy. I suggest that she should go to the computer center to print another copy. In this way, she does not have to worry that her professor would be disappointed about her sticky and wrinkled paper. However, she might be late for the class if she spends extra time printing another copy. These are the suggestions I would like to give to solve the problem mentioned in the conversation. The professor uses examples to explain two types of underground adaptations. The first adaptation is to move underground. Take moles as an example. Moles have strong front feet to dig the dirt while moving underground. The second adaptation is to protect the vulnerable parts. For example, eyes are the vulnerable parts of moles. Therefore, moles have hairs to cover their eyes. In this way, moles do not have to worry that dirt and particles will get into their eyes. These are the examples provided by the professor to explain two types of underground adaptations.
