A book I would like to read is The Big Short. The book talks about what happened in the 2008 financial crisis. We all know that the 2008 financial crisis led to the bankruptcy of the Lehman Brothers. However, few people understand financial instruments, such as financial derivatives, and how the subprime mortgage crisis led to the 2008 financial crisis. This book gives readers a basic understanding of what happened during the 2008 financial crisis. That's the reason why I am interested in this book.
I prefer to bring my cellphone with me. First, I can search for information on my cellphone. For example, I can read the news on my cellphone. Second, since I get lost easily, with the GPS on my phone, I can navigate by using my cellphone. Third, I can chat with my friends on apps such as Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. That’s the reason why I prefer to bring my cellphone with me. The writer proposes that advisor meetings should no longer be required. However, the woman in the conversation opposes the writer’s proposal. First, some information cannot be provided on the website. For example, advisors can tell students how they can meet the graduation requirement. Second, the woman does not think that it is difficult to book a meeting. If students can book a meeting in advance, it should not be a problem. That’s the reason why the woman in the conversation opposes the writer’s proposal. The professor takes urn plants as an example to explain how epiphytes have adapted to live in the rain forest. First, as urn plants can use trees for support, urn plants can get as much sunlight as possible. Second, as leaves of urn plants can form a bow, urn plants can collect rain water. Also, once other plants or insects decompose in the water, urn plants can get nutrients from the water. This is the example provided by the professor to explain how epiphytes have adapted to live in the rain forest. The man in the conversation started a band = is in a band, and they are going to have a concert. However, they cannot decide whether they should perform next Wednesday or Saturday. I suggest that they should perform next Wednesday. In this way, they do not have to worry that they cannot perform all of their songs because they do not have to share the concert with other bands / another band. However, if they choose to play next Wednesday, fewer people will attend the concert. These are the suggestions I would like to give to solve the problem mentioned in the conversation. The professor uses examples to explain how product containers should be designed to attract customers. First, product containers should be designed as user-friendly as possible. For example, it is difficult for customers to use glass containers. Therefore, plastic containers are designed to solve the problem. In this way, customers can squeeze the container to have tomato sauce. Second, product containers should have an appealing appearance. For example, cookies are designed to put into a metal box. In this way, customers are willing to present cookies to their guests. These are the examples provided by the professor to explain how product containers should be designed to attract customers.
